RATTUS RATTUS

Sewer rat (rattus Norvegicus), probably originating from the Asian steppe, due to maritime trade it has spread all over the world; among the murid species it is the most dangerous as a vector of pathogenic organisms. It appears to be distributed throughout the national territory.

MUS MUSCULUS

Small in size (about 15-10 cm), gray in colour, it is very prolific and reproduces all year round; it is active above all at night, causes enormous damage, devours large quantities of foodstuffs and is the bearer of serious infectious diseases, among which leptospirosis is the best known; it adapts to any type of environment and nestles wherever man lives and works; it has a very high birth rate.

Deratting means the removal or elimination of mice and rats present in an environment. The most common rodent species in our territories are Rattus norvegicus, Rattus rattus and Mus musculus.

The exact identification of the weed among the species allows you to set up correct rodent control methods.

Our homes, offices, schools, hospitals, parks, gardens, the streets of our neighborhood, food companies and storage warehouses are some examples of places targeted by rodents as they seek shelter, warmth (especially in the winter months) and food.

The disinfestations are performed on behalf of companies, public and private bodies. The damages that these animals can cause are considerable as they damage premises, foodstuffs and electric cables.

It is important to make use of experts in the field, who know the best techniques and products to use based on a given situation. Rats and mice reproduce very quickly, they become real colonies so do-it-yourself is not recommended in order not to put your health and property at risk. These animals are responsible for the spread of many diseases including plague, biting fever, leptospirosis, salmonellosis, endemic typhus and toxoplasmosis.

Each case will be analyzed, first of all, the degree of infestation with an inspection, which will help our technician to study an action plan to intervene in a focused way. Subsequently we will move on to a check of the critical points, to the choice of the type of bait to use, which will allow us to do an (electronic) monitoring.

Rat extermination monitoring helps the HACCP system, which is fundamental above all in the food industries, according to current regulations.
